Quarterly Speaker Series
Beginning in late 2000, EarthSave San Diego began its quarterly speaker series. Check back regularly with EarthSave San Diego for dates and times for these compelling community presentations!

WorldFest 2000
WorldFest is a celebration of life, of people, animals, the environment, and social consciousness. Last year, EarthSave San Diego participated in WorldFest Los Angeles in July, and in San Diego WorldFest was held in Embarcadero Marina Park in October. EarthSave San Diego had one booth in the main exhibit area and one in the childrenŐs area in San Diego. WorldFest 2000's keynote speaker in San Diego was Howard Lyman, board president of EarthSave International.
"Turkey-Free" Thanksgiving
In the Fall, we came together as a plant-based community to share a meal that celebrated the bounties of the harvest and heard a compelling message from a nationally-recognized speaker about one aspect of our food choices. EarthSave San Diego welcomed Robert Cohen, the "NotMilkMan," as keynote speaker at the chapterŐs inaugural "Turkey Free" Thanksgiving event on Saturday, November 11.
EarthFair 2001
Come visit EarthSave San DiegoŐs booth at EarthFair in April, 2001! EarthFair is the largest community-based Earth Day celebration in the western United States, and it takes place at Balboa Park in the heart of San Diego. We will focus our efforts on the message and its connections that a shift toward a plant-based diet is the single most effective step one can take to improve the environment.
