Volunteer Service Opportunities EarthSave - San Diego Chapter Volunteer Service with ESSD | Application | Contact Us Potluck Volunteers Time Commitment: average 1-2 hours a month. Volunteers are needed at the event to assist with set up/clean up, potluck buffet table, greeter's table, outreach table. Volunteer Coordinator Time Commitment: average 2-3 hours a month. Responsibilities include contact of local members to help out with local events, maintenance of volunteer roster, coordination of volunteer training sessions. Bilingual Outreach Volunteers Time Commitment: 2-3 hour sessions, as needed. Volunteers bilingual in English and in Spanish are needed to staff outreach booths throughout the community. Only qualifications are enthusiasm, a smile, and a willingness to actively solicit EarthSave membership, give information about our organization, and answer questions at the booth! Vegetarian Kids Group Volunteers Time Commitment: as needed. Responsibilities include assisting Vegetarian Kids Group coordinator with set up/clean up of events, contacting those on the Vegetarian Kids Group phone list, planning events. If you are a doctor, dentist, chiropractor, nurse, physical therapist, nutritionist or dietitian, or other type of licensed practitioner in the health care field, contact us today to get on our recipient list to receive educational materials from EarthSave about the benefits of a healthier way of eating. If you have a Spanish-speaking patient base, we can also provide you with our educational brochure series and other materials in Spanish language on the topics of Plant-Based Nutrition, Transition to Plant-Based Eating, and Healthy Kids on a Vegetarian Diet.
